Oldham's Big Bang lights up the night!

Date published: 07 November 2018

Oldham's spectacular 'Big Bang' lit up the night sky and was deemed another huge success as the crowds flocked to Oldham Edge.

A funfair and delicious food stalls greeted Oldham's firework fans from 5pm.

The fiery fun started soon after as the stage show began and the bonfire was lit.

Double British firework champions ‘Fantastic Fireworks’ showcased another masterclass in pyrotechnics choreographed to a carefully selected soundtrack.

Juggling Inferno headlined the show with their magnificent fire dance performance, while revellers also marvelled at the ‘Battle of the Oldham Edge Beasts’ as a fire breathing Dragon and Bat duelled to become the King of the Night.

Elliot Eastwick, Revolution 96.2's breakfast show host, DJ'd the proceedings leading up to the grand finale - a fireworks display which was visible across every corner of the borough.
