Actor Mark Jordon, who has appeared in Heartbeat, Casualty and Coronation Street, has appeared in court to deny allegations that he attacked a pensioner in Oldham town centre earlier this year.
Fifty-three-year old Jordon, from Tamewater Court, is accused of attacking the 68-year old, leaving him requiring hospital treatment, back in July.
Jordon, who currently plays Daz Spencer in the ITV soap Emmerdale, appeared at Tameside Magistrates Court and was granted unconditional bail.
He is now due to appear at Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court on December 6 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
Jordon, who grew up in Chadderton, is accused in connection with an incident on July 1 in Oldham town centre where the 68-year old man is alleged to have suffered bites to his eyebrow, arm and thumb.
Jordon denies wounding and assault.
