Kwok Wong from Ree Ming Takeaway presents a cheque to Dr Kershaws
Kwok Wong from Ree Ming Takeaway might normally have been a bit of a thrillseeker in his charity fundraising exploits, so taking part in a dance competition wouldn’t have been in his comfort zone.
In fact, Mr Wong describes it as his “biggest challenge” – even though he’s been sky diving, fire walking, bungee jumping and long-distance running.
He took part in Strictly Kersaw and raised £360 in his five minutes on the floor.
After leaving the stage, he asked the audience for more donations and they combined with donations from customers at his takeaway.
That brought their total to £2,360.
Mr Wong said: “I’ve done different extreme challenges for charities – but doing Strictly Kershaw was my biggest challenge because I have never done any kind of dancing before.
“I’d like to thank all my customers at Ree Ming Takeaway.
“I couldn’t believe the response from the audience and how generous they were.”
