Unexplained city retail park death being investigated

Detectives investigating the death of a man have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.
Shortly after 9.30am on Saturday (November 10), emergency services were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man at Central Retail Park on Great Ancoats Street in the city centre.
Officers attended and a 50-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
He sadly died on Sunday, November 18.
An investigation was launched and the man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained.
A Home Office post mortem is due to take place today (Tuesday).
Officers have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.
Detective Inspector Dave Sinclair, of GMP’s City of Manchester Division, said: “This was a tragic incident in which this man has lost his life, and my thoughts remain with his family at this difficult time.
“We are working to establish the full circumstances of what happened to this man, and provide his family with the answers they deserve.
“We are keen to speak to the man shown in the CCTV as he was in the area at the time and it is likely he may have seen the injured man, or may have information which is significant to this investigation.
“The person we want to speak to is seen on CCTV shortly before 6.20am walking along Great Ancoats Street towards its junction with Old Mill Street, and then close to the Central Retail Park.
"It is possible they were returning from a night out or may have been on their way to work.
“I would urge this person as well as anyone with information about what happened to please get in touch with police as soon as possible.”
