Four in court following suspicious device find at GMP base

All four men have been remanded to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today
Four men have been charged in connection with a suspicious device find - believed to be a grenade - which forced Police base Nexus House in Ashton to be evacuated.
The following people have been charged with two counts of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs:
· Callum Foster, aged 27, of Darliston Avenue, Blackley
· Craig Farrell, aged 33, of Rygate Walk, Manchester
· Richard Adams, aged 63, of Broom Lane, Salford
· Wayne Kelly, aged 57, of Edward Street, Manchester
Foster has also been charged with possession of prohibited ammunition.
Farrell has also been charged with possession of a weapon, believed to be a stun gun.
All four men have been remanded to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today (Friday).
Police seized the device on the evening of Wednesday (November 21), and following an assessment by bomb disposal experts on Thursday, a controlled explosion took place nearby.
