Officers have released images of a man they want to speak to.
While officers were carrying out enquiries following a report that a man had attempted to rape a woman on Featherstall Road in Oldham, their body worn video was recording.
They spoke to the man pictured before carrying on with their enquiries.
Officers now want to speak to him in connection with the investigation and anyone who recognises him is encouraged to come forward.
The report came into officers at around 4.15am on Friday, August 17, 2018.
Detective Constable Steve Gilliland of GMP’s Oldham Borough, said: “I’d encourage anyone who recognises the man pictured or knows who he is to contact us as soon as they can.
“Whatever information you have may be extremely helpful to our investigation.”
