Armed robbers leave staff shaken at the Co-Op in Grotton

The Co-op on Oldham Road in Grotton
Shortly before 7.40 am on Thursday 31st October 2019, police were called to a report of an armed robbery at the Co-Op on Oldham Road, Grotton.
Two men - wearing balaclavas - entered the store armed with machetes and a meat cleaver and threatened staff. The men then fled the store with the a quantity of cash.
No one was injured but the employees were left understandably shaken.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
