Flood alerts in place across Oldham

Heavy rain forecast for today
There are four main flood alerts in place across Greater Manchester.
A flood alert means that flooding is possible so you should be prepared.
They are all in place for catchment areas of specific rivers. They are:
- Middle River Mersey which is affecting areas including Bramhall, Stockport, Sale, Altricham and Urmston.
- Lower River Irwell in the centre of Manchester
- Upper River Irwell which is affecting areas including Oldham, Bolton, Rochdale, Haslingden, Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall
- River Mersey Uplands which is affecting areas including Hyde, Ashton-under-Lyne, Denton, Stalybridge and Glossop
Met Office have issues a yellow weather warning for rain in Greater Manchester today. We're expectnig heavy rain showers on and off throughout the day.
That's what is causing the river levels to rise throughout today, the evening and overnight.
There may be flooding to low-lying land and roads.
