Coronavirus: Bury student hospitalised

North West Ambulance Service are currently attending an incident at Bury College.
A statement on the College's twitter feed read: "A student was taken ill at the college today.
"As a precautionary measure we have taken appropriate action and contacted the emergency services who responded promptly.
"The safety and well-being of our students and staff is paramount and the college will closely monitor and review any advice received.
"Our understanding is that it is unlikely to be corona related."
Parents have been voicing their concerns on the social media site after security teams were seen not letting people in or out of the building.
Councillor Tamoor Tariq said that the pupil IS suspected to have COVID-19.
In a tweet he said: "Following a pupil falling ill at Bury College and suspected of having the coronavirus the council are supporting the college through this difficult situation.
"I want to stress it's important to protect peoples anonymity during any treatment."
UPDATE: A pupil who has been tweeting from the college said it's just the sports department that is in lockdown.
