A 21-year-old police constable was seriously bitten in Rochdale
A man charged in connection with an assault on two police officers in Rochdale has appeared at court.
Christopher Hill (aged 29) of no fixed abode, appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Saturday (April 11).
He was remanded to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on Thursday, May 7, 2020.
He is charged with a section 18 assault (attempted to unlawfully and maliciously cause grievous bodily harm), assault of an emergency service worker and criminal damage.
Whilst responding to an incident on Thursday, April 9 on Drake Street in Rochdale, two officers were punched.
One of those officers – a 21-year-old police constable – was then seriously bitten.
