What a grand effort from Hathershaw's top team!

Date published: 07 May 2020

Well over £1,000 has been raised for Maggie's Oldham by a dedicated 10-strong Senior Leadership team from Hathershaw College, part of the Pinnacle Learning Trust.

The 10 members from Hathershaw's Senior Leadership team, led by Principal Mark Giles (who also completed the most miles), set out to run or walk 260km between them, over the course of a week as part of their permitted daily exercise while joining in with the popular 2.6 Challenge.

Taking part following the cancellation of the annual Manchester 10k run and London Marathon, the Hathershaw team actually managed to cover 425km, which is just over 260 miles, so far raising £1,251 for Maggie’s.

The Pinnacle Learning Trust has a long-established relationship with Maggie's, and are passionate about supporting, especially at a time when so many charities are struggling financially.

Alongside Principal Mr Giles, the Hathershaw team included Angela Easton, Andy Potts, Ash Travis, Claire Cull, Danielle Hunt, Jaime Goodwin, Nichola Baker, Rob Logan and Sarah Williams.
