The industrious Countryside Safety Marshall volunteer team who help protect Dovestone joined a squad in a massive fly-tipping clear-up operation at the beauty spot.
They worked with seven Dovestone WI members and the RSPB to clear the tyres dumped at the Binn Green area off the main A635 Greenfield to Holmfirth Road.
The mission, carried out over two days, saw the team collect and dig out more than 120 tyres from forest area and the undergrowth and stack them behind the roadside wall.
The operation was hampered by the tyres being weighed down with stagnant rain water and the team battling against swarms of midges.
In the second phase, one team worked behind the wall, hoisting tyres up by a hook and pulley system while the other worked on the roadside stacking the tyres on the pavement before they were despatched onto a recycling truck.
