An altercation occurred in Oldham town centre on Saturday
A man was arrested and later charged with assault following an incident involving an emergency worker in Oldham town centre over the weekend.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: "On Saturday 29/08/20 Alan Whitehead, 30, was arrested following an altercation on the High Street of Oldham town centre.
"He was charged with committing a racially aggravated public order offence, and an assault on an emergency worker."
