Facilities are able to open in all boroughs except Bolton from today
Businesses in Oldham that have previously had to remain closed due to coronavirus can reopen from today (8th August).
Casinos, skating rinks and bowling alleys are among those that are able to accommodate customers again.
It's great news for the beauty industry too as close contact services like eyebrow threading or doing someone's makeup can restart too.
It was announced by the Government last Friday (4th September).
There are still a number of restrictions in place across the borough though:
- You still mustn't socialise with anyone not part of your household or support bubble.
- Face coverings must be worn in enclosed or crowded spaces like supermarkets and public transport.
- Public transport should only be used if absolutely essential. No more than 20 people from your household of close family/friends should attend weddings or civil partnerships.
- Restaraunts are encouraged to only seat people with a reservation and only 6 people per table.
- Pubs, restaurants, cafes, shops, places of worship, community centres, and other venues with visitors should ensure people maintain social distancing
- People who have been shielding should take extra care
- Informal sports aren't permitted
A full list of which businesses can reopen:
