Claim Received on BOTH £1M Lotto Prizes in Oldham

Camelot UK Lotteries Limited, operator of The National Lottery, has today confirmed that it has received claims on the TWO Lotto prizes from the draw on 8 August 2020. The prizes, both worth £1,000,000 and from a ticket or tickets bought in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, are the result of the lucky ticket-holder or ticket-holders matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the draw.
As with all major prizes, the claims will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the Games Rules Terms and Conditions are adhered to and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected. Subject to validation* the prizes will then be paid at an appointment with one of Camelot’s Winners’ Advisers.
Once the ticket or tickets has/have been validated and paid, the ticket-holder or ticket-holders will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news. There will be no information on whether the wins are an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket or tickets was/were purchased, unless the ticket-holder or ticket-holders decide to go public.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said,
“This is incredible news - one draw, one town and an incredible TWO £1M Lotto prizes that have now been claimed. It’s fantastic to be able to bring a little bit of cheer to the area with this news. We will now focus on supporting the ticket-holder or ticket-holders through the process.
“We’re continuing to encourage all National Lottery players to check their tickets, either online via the National Lottery website or, as the current situation allows, in their local store.”
