Transport officers from Greater Manchester Police have been out and about on Oldham public transport issuing fines to passengers discovered not wearing face coverings.
Some offending passengers have been accused of 'blatantly ignoring' the strict rules this week.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page on Wednesday read: "Over the last two days, #TransportUnit has deployed across central #Manchester and #Oldham in support of partner agencies engaged in the face covering engagement.
"Over the last week alone we have issued 10 fines to persons falling to follow our engagement and blatantly ignoring the legislation.
"This is not something we do lightly, but it is imperative that we keep people safe on public transport."
