Lockdown blamed for no Remembrance Day service in Saddleworth

Services were due to be held on Sunday 8th November.
Reverend Canon Sharon Jones, Team Rector of Saddleworth has confirmed there will be no Remembrance Sunday service in the community.
She said: “It is with sadness and regret that the churches of our Saddleworth community will be closed for public worship on Remembrance Sunday, and for the coming weeks of lockdown.
“As we find ourselves not permitted to gather together inside our outside to remember and pay our respects, there will be an on-line Saddleworth Special Remembrance Service at 10.50am:
cofeinsaddleworth.org.uk
It includes the two minutes silence at 11 o’clock
