Bags that looked like sweets were full of cannabis

A man was arrested this morning (Friday) after Oldham police discovered bags of drugs which initially looked like they contained children's sweets.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: "The St Mary’s, Glodwick and Roundthorn neighbourhood policing team - with assistance from colleagues - executed a drug warrants early this morning.
"Please note the packages that look like children’s sweets are in fact full of cannabis.
"A 20-year-old male has been arrested for possession of cannabis with intent to supply and is awaiting interview."
Meanwhile, the same St Mary's, Glodwick and Roundthorn neighbourhood team have confirmed that a teenage male was arrested and later bailed following reports of numerous robberies which allegedly occured last weekend.
"The team are aware of two street robberies that occurred last weekend (March 12 and 13) and that a number of images of the alleged offenders that are circulating on social media," a GMP post read.
"We can confirm on Sunday (March 14) the neighbourhood team arrested a 16-year-old male on suspicion of four robberies in total.
"He has since been released on bail for further evidence to be obtained before consultation with the CPS is conducted."
