There has been a slight increase in the Covid rate in Oldham
Oldham has seen a slight rise in the Covid rate, and it remains one of the highest in Greater Manchester.
The latest figures, which show data for the 7 days to March 26th, show a rate per 100,000 of 108, a slight rise from the previous week which was 103.7.
There were 256 recorded cases in the same time-frame, compared to 246 in the previous week's data.
Tameside remains the borough with the highest rate at 109.5, though this fell from the previous figure of 118.3.
Rochdale's figures remain static, with 229 new cases, and a rate of 103.
Trafford continues to have the lowest figures in Greater Manchester, though the rate has increased this week to 66.6.
The average rate across the United Kingdom is 56.2.
The latest analysis shows that, whilst the Covid rate in Oldham has risen slightly, it is significantly below the figures in January where the 7-day infection rate was recorded at 393.
Figures are higher in more densely populated areas like Greater Manchester.
