Man charged following care home robbery and assault

Police were first called to reports a man had been assaulted at an address in Droylsden
A man has been charged following a robbery at a care home.
Christopher Hurn (aged 27), of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of robbery, two counts of assault under Section 18 and two counts of breaching a restraining order.
He has been remanded in custody and will appear at Tameside Magistrates Court later today (Friday).
At around 7am on Thursday, April 1, police were called to reports a man had been assaulted at an address in Droylsden.
At around 10 am on Saturday, April 3, police were called to reports of a robbery and assault on two men and a woman at the same address in Droylsden.
A 61-year-old man required surgery following a broken femur as a result of the assault, and a 70-year-old man received bruising to the hand and a black eye.
