GMP chief urges people not to lose sight of their responsibilities

Pubs and restaurants offering outdoor settings re-opened on Monday
Greater Manchester Police Superintendent Chris Hill has been keen to remind people of their responsibility to enjoy the easing of lockdown safely and sensibly ahead of a potentially hectic weekend.
Lots of fine weather is forecast for the forthcoming weekend, the first since pubs and restaurants offering outdoor settings re-opened on Monday (April 12) in the latest round of coronavirus restrictions easing.
"We've had a reduction in the number of Covid incidents reported to us this week, which shows that people are complying,” said Mr Hill in a GMP Manchester Facebook page post.
“So I want to say a huge thank you to the people of Greater Manchester for their efforts.
"Please use this well-deserved time to catch up with loved ones, but remember the virus is still out there so social distancing and the wearing of masks still remain for those that are not in your household.
"I hope you have an enjoyable and safe weekend.”
