Latics and Dale veterans set to clash in special hospice fund-raiser

On Saturday, May 8, the Oldham Athletic Military Veterans team are playing a very special charity fixture against Rochdale's Military Veterans on the first team pitch at Rochdale FC’s Crown Oil Stadium.

Fans will be allowed into the stadium to watch the two sides in action, as all the players taking part are either still serving, a reservist, or a veteran.

The event is pay on the gate, and costs just £5 per person entry.

All of the money raised will be going towards the Springhill Hospice.

As a Specialist Palliative Care Unit, Springhill Hospice provides the highest standard of physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual care for patients with life limiting illnesses and their families, friends and carers.

Ther hospice encourages patients to maintain independence and control and to make informed choices, whilst respecting privacy and dignity.
