Police probe continues after machete is found in abandoned car

Oldham police are investigating after a machete and balaclava were recovered from a car which was dumped in Greenacres.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: "On Friday, officers from the Waterhead Neighbourhood team spotted a vehicle acting suspiciously on Ripponden Road.
"After a pursuit the vehicle was abandoned on Greenacres and the occupants made off on foot.
"A large machete and balaclava were recovered from the vehicle.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
