Get involved at the Sholver and Moorside flower and veg show

The Sholver and Moorside Community Team will host their fifth annual Flower and Vegetable Show on Saturday, August 21.

The show will take place at 1pm at the Sholver and Moorside Community Centre, Sholver Lane, Moorside, OL1 4NT.

Last year's show was virtual, but attracted lots of entries, so organisers are hoping for a successful actual show this year.

As well as flowers and vegetables, the show includes classes for floral art, crafts, home produce, photography and a junior section.

There will also be flower arranging demonstrations, a horticultural craft stall, refreshments and the perennial favourite - a tombola stall with lots and lots of prizes.

The show will close with an auction of lots of the exhibited produce - so go and bag yourself a bargain!

Entries to any of the show classes can be made between 5-7pm on the evening of Friday, August 20 or 8.45-10.45am on the day of the show.
