Yesterday (Sunday) fIve members of Oldham Mountain Rescue Team provided cover for the Saddleworth Runners Club's Saddleworth Round fell race.
The 16.7 mile route took runners across the moor to the Pennine Way, up to Black Hill and back to the Cross Keys.
The team were stationed at the end of the leg from Black Hill to the A635, about two thirds of the way round.
Conditions were interesting for the runners; heavy spells of rain, low cloud and swollen rivers up to waist deep were encountered.
These runners are a hardy bunch though, and the Rescue Team only had to deal with a couple of minor issues.
Well done to all the runners and marshals who endured the conditions.
The team were deployed for five hours.
