Mayor welcomes Ukrainian community for civic centre ceremony

The Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Jenny Harrison, says 'welcome to the Civic Centre'

The Mayor of Oldham, Councillor Jenny Harrison, welcomed representatives of the Oldham Ukrainian community to the Civic Centre for a special flag raising ceremony.

The group were marking the 30th anniversary of Ukraine Independence.

There were speeches in English and Ukrainian, and the Ukrainian National Anthem was sung.
