Photographer Karen Jakeman captured some of the fun at the Grotton Gala which saw a steady return to good times at the weekend.
The event at Grotton Pavalion was cancelled last year because of the pandemic.
What started cautiously on Saturday, turned into a steady flow of families sharing free entrance to the gala into the afternoon.
There were lots of attractions, including old fashioned favourites ... hook the duck, splat the rat, a steam engine driven by Martin Harley with a popular raffle (more than 30 prizes).

Also, a selection of handmade items by members of the She Sheds group was on sale.
The gala, organised by Grotton and District Residents Association, was officially opened by Cllr Barbara Beeley, chair of Saddleworth Parish Council.
She thanked folk for the support which enables Grotton Residents Association to keep providing a much-loved community asset.
