Inspirational Frank puts his best foot forward for Dr Kershaw's

Date published: 29 September 2021

Oldham fund-raiser supreme Frank Evans has already smashed his GoFundMe target as he continues his pledge to complete a 10k walk every day in September in aid of Dr Kershaw’s Hospice.

Former Crompton House School pupil Frank said: “I have been wanting to do a fund-raiser for Dr Kershaws for some time, so recently I thought I better get my backside in gear and sort it out.

“Dr Kershaw’s is a charity close to my heart due to the tremendous care my fiancé’s dad received whilst in their care.

“Walking is also something that has become an important part of my life as it has helped me get through the last 18 months or so.

“Walking and talking is a way of de-stressing and just having a good old fashioned chin wag to get things off your chest.

“Anything anyone can spare to donate to help Dr Kershaw’s continue the great work they are doing would be greatly appreciated.”

Frank completed his 28th 10k walk of the month yesterday (Tuesday).

So far he has raised £2,200 for the Hospice, having set an initial target of £250.
