GMP officer charged with child sex offences

The officer has been suspended
A Greater Manchester Police officer has been charged with child sex offences.
Lee Cunliffe, 40, who is a Detective Constable based on GMP's Salford District, has been charged with:
- 2 counts of attempting to arrange/facilitate the commission of a child sex offence,
- 1 count of possession of an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child,
- 3 counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child,
- 1 count of distributing an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child,
- 2 counts of misconduct in a public office,
- 2 counts of perverting the course of public justice.
He has been bailed to appear before Manchester Magistrates Court on 26th October 2021 at 10:30am.
The officer was arrested on Tuesday 15 December 2020 and has remained suspended from duty since that date.
