The rain caused some flash flooding
A deluge of torrential rain has hit Oldham this afternoon.
Oldhamers were treated to almost 30 minutes of non-stop heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
The Chronicle's weather expert, ChadWeather had predicted "heavy rain around lunchtime, perhaps with a rumble of thunder", and as ever, he was absolutely right.
A video shows the downpour in Oldham town centre, plus flooding on Featherstall Road North near to the Tesco store.
