A 34-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Tamby Dowling in Chadderton
Abid Mahmood, of Cambridge Street, Oldham, has been charged with murder and section 18 assault and will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court today (17 November).
Officers were called just before 7pm on Monday to reports a woman had been attacked at Water Mill Avenue, Oldham.
Tamby Dowling, 36, suffered serious stab injuries and despite the efforts of the emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 16-year-old girl also required hospital treatment but has since been released.
