A man has been charged with endangering an aircraft in Tameside after a light was shot at a police helicopter
Reece Taylor, 28, of Margaret Street, Ashton-under-Lyne, has been charged in connection with an incident involving the GMP police helicopter in the St Peter's area of Ashton.
He has been bailed to appear at Tameside Magistrates' Court on 23 December 2021 after being charged under the Air Navigation Order 2016.
Officers from GMP's Ashton-under-Lyne Neighbourhood Team were called to Katherine Street at about 5:30pm on Thursday 25 November 2021 to reports a light was being shone at the aircraft.
