The club are appealing for information
Oldham Athletic say they are "extremely disappointed" in the behaviour of "so-called supporters" who attacked and damaged the Tranmere Rovers coach after the fixture last night.
It's understood the coach was attacked following the League Two clash at Boundary Park, which Latics lost following a last minute goal.
The club says it's working with Greater Manchester Police to help identify those responsible "to ensure they are dealt with in the correct manner going forwards"
The club also apologised to the visitors for the incident.
"We would also like to offer an unreserved apology to Tranmere Rovers Football Club, its players, staff and supporters for the incident that happened and the distress caused."
