Oldham police officer sentenced for theft offences

A Greater Manchester Police officer who works in the Oldham district has been sentenced for theft offences
The man was sentenced at Manchester & Salford Magistrates Court yesterday (20 December) for three counts of theft.
PC Edward Ballantyne-Rowland, 25, has been charged with three counts of theft relating to incidents in October-December 2020.
He was sentenced to 180 hours of community service, a 20-hour rehabilitation order, and £150 compensation per victim along with court fees and a victim surcharge.
PC Ballantyne-Rowland was arrested on 4th December 2020 and was suspended from duty on the same date.
