Considering a career in care? Visit your local CERA branch next Thursday.

Cera, the digital-first healthcare-at-home provider, is holding an Open Day in Rochdale to hire for roles in Oldham and Bury, on Thursday 17th February from 10am - 2pm to encourage more people in the community to consider a meaningful career in care.

This Open Day event is part of the company’s national recruitment effort across England, Scotland and Wales, as Skills For Care data identifies 105,000 vacancies were advertised in the sector (in England) on an average day.

The event offers the opportunity for people to drop in to their local Cera branch to meet the care team, to ask questions and to learn more about what a career in care entails.

Cera delivers more than 40,000 healthcare visits to older and vulnerable people’s own homes every single day.

Its pioneering technology gives carers more time to spend with the people they care for and deliver better care as it predicts changes in a person’s condition by up to 30-fold faster than traditional care methods, in turn reducing hospitalisations by up to 45 per cent.

If any students are about to graduate, experienced workers are considering a career change or anyone is looking to supplement their income, Cera’s technology can recruit, train, certify and deploy new professional carers in a matter of days.

The company recently introduced a £500 ‘Golden Hello Bonus’ applicable to new professional carers joining Cera.

Felix Wetzel, Director of Carer Acquisition at Cera, commented: “Over the past two years, the majority of us have experienced what it's like to care for people outside of our families - from staying at home to protect the most vulnerable, checking in on an elderly neighbour or dropping off food for someone in isolation.

"The feeling of caring and making a difference to the lives of others is incomparable. It doesn’t matter what stage of your career you’re at, if you’re reliable, empathetic and friendly, it's time to consider joining the caring profession.”
