Children took part in the annual egg decorating competition
Schoolchildren at a Shaw school have shared their 'eggceptional' creative skills with the Oldham Chronicle, following their annual Easter egg decorating competition.
Pupils at Farrowdale House school on Farrowdale Street have been giving their teachers a run for their 'bunny' with a delightful collection of colourful and creative eggs.
The competition is no 'yolk', with entrants judged by the school council, led by Year 3/4 teacher, Miss O'Donnell.
Amongst the creations this year, are a circus full of performing eggs, the 'solegg' system, and a version of Disney's 'Eggcanto'.
There's also an egg version of Star Wars, Under The Sea, and Ant and Egg's Saturday Night Take Away.
The decorated eggs were created by pupils between the ages of three and eleven, and every child received a participation certificate, with Easter treats given to the winners.
Mrs Colebourne, who provides classroom support told the Chronicle: "We've beeing running the competition for a few years now, but this is the best so far. Some of the entries are outstanding."
We think the children have really 'cracked' it this year with their 'eggciting' projects.
