Former Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs has been forced to pull out of music gigs this Summer, after being diagnosed with cancer.
The news about his diagnosis was shared on his Twitter account yesterday, April 26, 2022.
"Just to let you all know I'm going to be taking a break for a while.
"I've been diagnosed with tonsil cancer, but the good news is it's treatable and I'll be starting a course of treatment soon. I'll keep you posted on how it's going.
"I'm gutted I'm missing the gigs with Liam and the band. Have the best summer and enjoy the gigs if you're going, I'll see you soon xxx"
Arthurs has now been forced to cancel his appearances at gigs with Liam Gallagher, which had been scheduled for this Summer.
He played rhythm guitar and keyboards for Oasis and appeared on What's The Story (Morning Glory).
In 1999, he left the band, but he's been working with Liam Gallagher on other projects, in recent years.
