Road closed as woman cut from car in Grotton

A woman has been taken to hospital after being cut from her car following an accident in Grotton.
It's understood emergency services attended the incident on Oldham Road on Thursday morning, following reports that a van and a car had collided.
The road was closed for a short time whilst the woman was freed from the car by the fire service.
The North West Air Ambulance Service also attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Serivce said: "Firefighters are currently responding to a Road Traffic Collision on Oldham Road in Grotton. A car and a van collided and a woman in her 50s was trapped in the car which had rolled over.
"Firefighters cut her from her car, working closely with North West Ambulance Service to safely recover her. She has been taken to hospital. The road is closed in both directions so please avoid the area if you can."
The road was re-opened shortly afterwards.
