UPDATE; Detectives investigating double stabbing in Miles Platting secure charges

Officers were called to an address on Bednal Avenue in the Miles Platting area of Manchester

Suleman Altaf, (09/03/78) of no fixed address, has been charged with murder, attempted murder and having an article in a public place.

Altaf has been remanded in custody ahead of a hearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court today (Monday 13 June 2022).

The charges relate to the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Jakub Szymanski and the stabbing of his mother at a property in the Miles Platting area on Thursday 9 June 2022.
