Oldham College Creative Exhibition returns after two-year hiatus

Date published: 24 June 2022

Oldham College has re-opened its doors for the Creative Department’s annual exhibition.

Hundreds of visitors have flocked to the event, which showcased the final pieces of work created by students from the Faculty of Digital and Creative, who have been working tirelessly on their projects since February.

It was the first time in two years that the event has taken place in physical form, as the Covid pandemic has forced the previous two exhibitions to be cancelled, with the 2020 event converting to an online only exhibition.

Both students and staff have been working hard in preparation to make sure this year’s return is one to remember.

Creative Programme Leader, Alison Cropper, says she is proud of what the students and staff have achieved.  “The exhibition promised to be exciting, the richness and quality of the work produced over the last year is incredible, and a testament to our students’ talent and commitment, as well as to the dedication and support of their staff teams.”

A wide range of graphic design, creative media, fashion, games design, art, and photography pieces were proudly displayed at the event, inviting visitors to view, and even interact with. Short films, virtual game environments, photography, fashion displays, and interactive artwork were just some of the pieces on display for people to enjoy.

The exhibition is initially invite-only, but will be open to the general public at Oldham College’s Family Open Day, on Saturday 2nd July at 10am in the Digital and Creative Centre.
