Paul Clegg captured the joyous atmosphere in these pictures at the “Brass on the Grass” concert yesterday afternoon (Sunday) at Church Fields in Dobcross, with the Dobcross Silver Band.
The annual village outdoor concert is free, but a raffle and collection boosted proceeds for the band.
Terry Lawless, band club president, said: “It was great to see blustery weather didn’t dampen the spirits of the Dobcross community as the concert, featuring the resurgent Dobcross Silver Band, finally returned to Church Fields after a Covid induced absence of two years.
“Pleased to say normal service has well and truly resumed as an enthusiastic crowd was treated to a rousing performance by the band, led by inspirational MD Jason Smith.”
