Oldham is basking in what could be one of the hottest days of the year today, with temperatures expected to hit 29C.
Oldham Chronicle weather expert Jon Baylis of @chadweather says we can expect hazy sunshine this afternoon, but it will remain hot and humid in Oldham.
It looks set to be an uncomfortable night too, with temperatures at midnight expected to be a whopping 22C (71F).
Elsewhere, the mercury could hit 33C, with London and the South East basking in the hottest sunshine.
The hottest day of the year in England so far was last month, when temperatures hit 32.7C.
There's more sunshine on the way tomorrow, before slightly cooler days on Wednesday and Thursday. However, the sweltering heat is set to return on Friday and across the weekend, with temperatures between 25C and 28C.
Nationally, it could be even hotter.
Says Jon: "We're till on for possibly record-breaking temperatures for the UK next weekend (Sunday). 35°C looks likely but don't rule out higher. 38.7°C to beat.
"Some models still crazily throwing out possible temperatures of 40°C+ (104F)"
