Burglars arrested following police pursuit

Two men have been arrested following a police chase in Austerlands last night (Wednesday).

A post on the GMP Saddleworth and Lees Facebook page read: "A burglary occurred in Austerlands last night.

"Two cars were stolen.

"Police were immediately notified, sighted the vehicles and gave pursuit.

"Both vehicles have been recovered.Two males were arrested.

"A further stolen car has been recovered in Austerlands and all will be forensically examined."
