A suspect has been charged and remanded following eight burglaries in Manchester city centre.
During the evening of Tuesday, July 19, the suspect was detained by officers following reports of a string of burglaries taking place in the city centre.
The investigation has since revealed that the suspect is also linked to a number of burglaries that took place at the beginning of July in the city centre, accounting for approximately £40,000 worth of goods stolen and £20,000 worth of damages caused.
Temporary Sergeant Alexander Vernon said: “This investigation underlines our commitment to tackling burglaries in the city centre, investigating crime and providing outstanding service to our communities.
"Everyone has the right to feel safe in their homes and we will continue to take action against those we believe are responsible for breaking in and taking property that does not belong to them.
