Teenage girl seriously sexually assaulted in Shaw

Police cordons remain in place close to a car park on Westway in Shaw after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted this morning (Friday).
The Chronicle received a Greater Manchester Police statement this afternoon, which read: “At around 12:45am this morning (Friday 19 August 2022), officers received reports of a serious sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl on High Street, Shaw.
"The girl is being supported by specialists and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
"Anyone with any information, photos, videos, or CCTV footage regarding this incident should contact us on 0161 856 8999 or 101 quoting incident 118 of 19/08/2022."
