A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in Manchester city centre.
Kevin Mannion (aged 44), of Watson Street, Manchester, has been charged with the murder of Elinor O’Brien (22).
It follows an investigation where officers were called to attend a property on Great Watson Street in Manchester city centre by Northwest Ambulance Service last Tuesday, August 16.
Elinor was reported to be unresponsive and later passed away as a result of her injuries.
Her family are being supported by specially trained officers.
Mannion was arrested at the scene on suspicion of a section 18 assault.
He has now been charged with murder and is set to appear in Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday (August 24).
