Cannabis farm discovered at fire-hit Shaw property

Police officers found a cannabis farm at a house in Shaw after fire had broken out at the residence.
The emergency services were called to Cyril Street at approximately 8am yesterday (Tuesday).
People were evacuated from the area to allow firefighters to tackle the fire, which is thought to have started due to an electrical fault.
No injuries were reported.
Police later confirmed officers found a cannabis farm at the address.
A GMP spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called to reports of a fire at a property on Cyril Street in Shaw.
"Enquiries have suggested that it was caused by an electrical fault at the property.
"No injuries have been reported."
They later added: "We can't say if it's linked at this moment in time to the cannabis farm."
