An 11-strong squad from the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were asked by the North West Ambulance Service for assistance with the difficult extraction of a female who suffered an ankle injury while out walking her dog in Daisy Nook Country Park.
Medical aid was administered by NWAS paramedics, before the casualty was packaged onto their stretcher for the short, very muddy, carry back to the ambulance.
Said OMRT leader Rob Tortoiseshell: “Huge thanks to the passers-by who looked after the lady and helped guide all the services to the scene.
"We wish the casualty all the best for a speedy recovery.”
OMRT were involved for one hour and 45 minutes.
