A 17-strong squad from the Oldham Mountain Rescue Team were called to assist with a walker who had injured their leg near Blackstone Edge.
The weather on Blackstone Edge can be notoriously bleak, but despite it being a wet and windy day, the casualty was in good condition upon the team’s arrival on Saturday lunchtime, with plenty of warm layers and a waterproof jacket.
Together with North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust, the team's casualty carers assessed and packaged the casualty for a short stretcher carry off the hill.
Thanks to Greater Manchester Police and North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust for their assistance.
OMRT personnel were involved for one hour and 30 minutes.
