Oldham Mountain Rescue Team had a busy start to December as they took part in some of Saddleworth’s Christmas traditions.
They attended the annual Santa Dash organised by David Wood and the Round Table, and thanked them for inviting them to participate.
On Saturday evening, members of the team attended the annual Greenfield Street Scene Christmas lights switch-on and were given mince pies and a cheque for £75 from Stephanie Pelmore.
The team were incredibly grateful for their hospitality and continued support.
They had a stall at Dovestone WI Christmas Markets and manned the car park.
The tea raised £88.08 on the day with sales and donations.
OMRT leader Rob Tortoiseshell said: “A massive thank you to Jess and the W.I. ladies who made us feel welcome and supplied us with hot drinks, and to all who stopped to chat with the team.
"We would like to take the opportunity to thank the whole community for their support this year, and on behalf of everyone at OMRT we wish you all a very happy Christmas and the kindest wishes for 2023.”
